My introduction

My name is Pete, since May 2022 I work as Junior Software Developer. I am solving different bugs, implementing new features and updating old ones.

Frontend Developer

HTML

Semantic HTML logic, Bootstrap 4 and 5 for grid and general styling, also experience with Materialize

CSS

Custom styling, use of variables, transitions, some understanding in animation

JavaScript

Writing own code, work with DOM. Introducing own field verification, implementing, amending and combining snippets of code and more.
Fun projects: Created 1 level of Mario Bros game with kaboom.js, some math and quiz games.

jQuery

Own code, implementing, amending and combining snippets of code, work with DOM. I prefer jQuery to vanilla JS

Backend Developer

Flask

Creating simple project, using templates.

Django

Create more complex projects, like internet shop with functioning authentication, order basket, Stripe payment system, product CRUD and more. Work with various Django packages, for example Allauth and Crispy Forms. Working locally in virtual environment during production, use of config variables.

Python

Use with Flask and Django frameworks

MongoDB

Used as a simple, JSON based database with Flask projects.

MySQL

Using MySQL as local database with Django.

PostgreSQL

Using as remote Database with Heroku deployment.

Git & Github

In addition to basic commands, I am familiar with amending commits (as well as pushed ones), use of various branches, merging them, and more. Use of Conventional Commits. Using Github as a remote repository, deploying simple projects with Github Pages

Heroku

Deployment of complex projects created with Flask or Django, in combination with Heroku Postgres and AWS S3, use and understanding of Config Vars.

AWS S3

Using to store media and static files.

API's

Created own REST API with Flask framework. Idea was to manage contacts, have ability for CRUD operations. Used SQLAlchemy and Marshmallow too. Working with Google Maps API, EmailJS and more.
